Song 1: O Come, All Ye Faithfull
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come, and behold Him, born the King of angels!
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord!
Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation;
sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest!
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning;
Jesus, to Thee be all glory given!
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing!
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord
Isaiah Prophecies of Christ’s Birth (Isaiah 9:6; 7:14)
“A long, long time ago, long before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah spoke of a coming Saviour – a light for the world.
He foretold a child who would change the course of history, a promise of hope for all generations.”
“For unto us a child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
“Of the greatness of His government and peace, there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom,
establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.”
Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Song 2: Joy to The World
Joy to the world! The Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! The Saviour reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.
Journey to Bethlehem (Luke 2:1, 3-5)
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered
And all went to be registered, each to his own town.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
Song 3: O Little Town of Bethlehem
O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in the dark street shineth
The everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight
O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born in us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
Oh, come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Immanuel!
The Saviour’s Birth in a Manger (Luke 2:6-7)
And in the same region, there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by
night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you
good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of
David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped
in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of
the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among
those with whom he is pleased!”
Song 4: Away In A Manger
Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing the Baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes
I love Thee Lord Jesus look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle ’til morning is nigh
Be near me Lord Jesus I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And fit us for heaven to live with Thee there
Shepherds in the Fields (Luke 2:8-14)
And in the same region, there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold,
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the
city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby
wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace
among those with whom he is pleased!”
Song 5: Hark Now Hear the Angels Sing
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Christ by highest heaven adored
Christ the everlasting Lord
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of the Virgin’s womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with men to dwell
Jesus our Emmanuel
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace
Hail the Sun of Righteousness
Light and life to all He brings
Risen with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Shepherds Visit the Baby Jesus (Luke 2:15-17, 20)
When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go
over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to
us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. 17 And
when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And
the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been
told them.
Song 6: The First Noel
The first Noel
The angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
In fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
Then let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made Heaven and earth of nought
And with His blood mankind hath bought
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King
Born is the King
Born is the King of Israel!
The Wise Men (Matthew 2:1-12)
And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and
when you have found Him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship Him.”
After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went
before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they
rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary
His mother, and they fell down and worshipped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered Him
gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they
departed to their own country by another way.
Song 7: We Three Kings
We three kings of orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star
O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light
Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign
O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light
Frankincense to offer have I
Incense owns a Deity nigh
Prayer and praising, all men raising
Worship Him, God on high
O star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light
Myrrh is mine
Its bitter perfume breathes
A life of gathering gloom
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying
Sealed in the stone cold tomb
O star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light
Glorious now behold Him arise
King and God and Sacrifice!
Alleluia alleluia
Peals through earth and skies
O star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light
Heavenly Peace
At this sacred season, we reaffirm the reality of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We
testify that He was the only perfect man ever to walk the earth. He “went about doing good” (Acts
10:38) and beckons to all, “Come, follow me” (Luke 18:22). It is His holy influence that stirs
mankind to acts of mercy and kindness. He who has “borne our griefs, and carried our
sorrows” (Isaiah 53:4) inspires each of us to reach out with love to the poor, the lonely, and the
downtrodden. May Christmas time remind us that the Prince of Peace, who stilled the tempest on
the Sea of Galilee, has the power to calm the storms in our personal lives. May His peace fill our
hearts and homes throughout the coming year as we strive to walk in His ways.
Song 8: O Holy Night
O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night O holy night
O night divine
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here came the wise men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our Friend
He knows our need
To weakness is no stranger
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord
O praise His name forever
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night O holy night
O night divine
