The Vine Community Church
About Us

About Us

What Kind of Church is The Vine?

In simple terms, we are merely followers of Jesus – intent on being obedient to Him and His teachings found in the Bible. Therefore, The Vine is a fully independent church and unaffiliated with a denomination.
We exist to journey alongside individuals in their relationship with Jesus, assisting them in recognising His Lordship and guiding them into a life obedient to His teachings.
We believe that each individual has a personal and unique relationship with Jesus. Likewise, we seek to encourage and foster a deeper relationship with Christ regardless of where you are in your journey.

Hence, we value:

A space to GROW by encouraging and learning with one another in small groups.
A space to WORSHIP God together as modelled in Acts 2:42.
A space to LOVE by serving and shaping the community in which we live.

The root of all we value lies in the obedience to the Life, Lordship, and Teachings of Jesus Christ. This shall remain the foundation of every value honoured by The Vine Community Church (John 15:5).
The Vine places equal value on OUTREACH (Missions, Service and Evangelism) as well as WORSHIP (meeting for Prayer, Praise, Communion, Fellowship and Personal Spiritual Development through Bible teaching).
The Vine values incorporating five key elements at worship gatherings according to Acts 2:42: Fellowship, Prayer, Scripture Reading, Bible Teaching, and Communion (Lord’s Supper).
The Vine values respectable financial stewardship of both its members and of the Church itself. Giving of both time and financial resources directly reflects our faith and obedience to God (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
The Vine values each member as an essential, active part of the Body in which each member regularly participates in Worship and Serving within the Ministries of the Church.
The Vine respects that each individual faith journey with Jesus Christ is unique to that individual, being both personal and continually maturing.

Therefore The Vine:

The Vine shall seek to honourably represent Christ to all individuals, regardless of their faith, culture or behaviour, so that by witnessing His love and hearing His teachings, some may be saved (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).
The Vine values being active in disciplining each person through personal encouragement, prayer, spiritual guidance and Biblical teaching.
The Vine seeks to disciple believers into reproducing followers of Jesus Christ, equipping and empowering them to further disciple and baptise others into Jesus Christ.
